Senior Compositor – Feature Film VFX

CINETISM is looking for experienced Senior Compositors to join our VFX team for ongoing feature-film work.

We are looking for artists with a strong eye for photorealism, integration, lighting, colour, atmosphere and cinematic detail — artists who can take ownership of a shot and deliver polished, production-ready work.

The Role

As a Senior Compositor, you will be responsible for integrating CG, live-action photography, matte paintings, roto, paint and additional VFX elements into seamless final shots.

You should be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting complex shots and collaborating closely with VFX Supervisors and other artists throughout production.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, photorealistic final composites
• Integrate CG elements seamlessly into live-action plates
• Handle complex multi-layer compositing shots
• Match lighting, colour, depth, atmosphere and lens characteristics
• Work with keying, roto, paint, projections and clean plates
• Create realistic shadows, reflections, depth and environmental integration
• Perform 2D/2.5D compositing and camera projections when required
• Maintain shot continuity across sequences
• Troubleshoot technical and creative compositing challenges
• Take ownership of assigned shots from turnover through final delivery
• Respond efficiently to Supervisor and client feedback
• Maintain organised Nuke scripts and production-ready workflows

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional VFX compositing experience
• Strong experience with Foundry Nuke
• Feature film, episodic or high-end cinematic experience
• Excellent understanding of photorealistic compositing
• Strong knowledge of colour, lighting, photography and image formation
• Solid understanding of CG render passes and AOV workflows
• Experience with keying, roto, paint, tracking and projections
• Ability to analyse plates and recreate believable photographic characteristics
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
• Comfortable working within an established VFX pipeline
• Good communication and team collaboration skills
